Ninja Turtles 25 Years Of History

site synopsis

This site is a celebration and a look back of the past 25 years of the 4 super turtles, their ninja master, and their friends and enemies. As you may know, the Ninja Turtles are heading for their silver (25 years) anniversary on May 1, 2009 when Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird from Mirage Comics released the first ever comic book series. For 25 years, the Ninja Turtles opened in many formats: animation TV series, live-action movies, computer graphic movies, video games, comic books, action figure toys, DVDs, VHSs, laser discs, and they brought large audiences all across the world even still as of today. So this website is a dedication to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise and to all that they have given us all these years. So come on in and join in on the fun.

News ANd Updates

December 14, 2009:

Tales Of TMNT #68 set to be released March 2010's front comic book cover is now added to the comic book section.  Plus the release dates of the recent comic books that were added earlier are now known.  And just in case if this is my last update for the rest of the year, I want to take this time to wish all of you a Merriest Christmas and Happy New Year!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

November 24, 2009 - 2:50 AM:

This is not much of an update, but because it's something, I'll make a note of it.  The Ninja Turtle Forever TV movie title has been added to the episode list of the 1987, 2003 Animated TV Series pages, along with a content section in the movie section, with a COMING SOON in it.

Also this is my last update until Thanksgiving, and I want to take this time to wish you all a happy and safe Thanksgiving.  Just think of all that's great in your lives that you can feel thankful for, even for those other countries that don't celebrate Thanksgiving, just think of all that you have to be thankful for.

October 30, 2009:

Ninja Turtles has been sold to Nickelodeon.  On October 23, Mirage announced that they will no longer have the rights to the domain name of www.ninjaturtles.com.   However there is a bright side to this sell out; Nickelodeon is in the process of starting a CG TV series starting in 2012, and that Peter Laird will still continue to release 18 comic book issues every year as he has always done.  The production of the live-action movie that is scheduled for release in 2011 is still in progress, so this merger won't effect the status of that either.

A few more comic book issue cover images have been added to the comic book section.  These issues are the Donatello Brain Thief Issues 2 - 4, Mirage Universe, The First 1984 issue in color, and Tales Of TMNT Issues 63 - 67.  Enjoy the updates, and don't despair about the Nickelodeon buying out Ninja Turtles; for all we know it might not be that bad, but then again, it could also be the down turning point in the Ninja Turtle franchise.  Only time will tell...

October 1, 2009:

Well I got some sad news, sort of.  Ever wondered why you haven't seen any new episodes of today's animated TV series?  Well I contacted Ninja Turtles's main site and they responeded that today's animated series is now offically over.  Production has ended, and they left off where April and Casey Jones gets married.  That's that, the end of another Ninja Turtle era.

The comic book page has also been updated.  The Tales of the TMNT issues #59 - #62 has been added, along with Future Tense, TMNT 25th, and Donatello Brain Thief #1, and a Collected Book.  Enjoy the updates.

And the final update, I decided to add a new page to this website.  I created my own Ninja Turtle Art Gallery.  I drew and colored pictures for many years since I was 13 in 1996.  My oldest drawings were drawn and color penciled colored.  My year 2000+ pictures are drawn on paper, scanned onto the computer and colored on my PC's paint program.  And my latest type is taking a live picture (in most cases Conan The Barbarian or Conan The Destroyer) and drawing a Ninja Turtle over the original body of the picture, making it look like the Turtles are in live situations and stuff.  I don't know the exact number of pictures I drew over the years, but if I can guess, it would be well over 7,000 drawings, most of which were just drawn, but not yet colored.  And because of the extreme amount of pictures in my art collection, I won't be able to upload every one of them, but I'll do the best I can, and I will upload my top favorites in each catagory: Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, Michelangelo, April, Splinter, Foot Clan, Multiple Characters, Violent images, and misc.  So again, enjoy the updates.

September 26, 2009:

Images of the Seattle, Washington Shell-Ebration Tour has been posted.  Also some of the web pages have background music.  The 1987, 2003 series pages have their animation theme song.  However the 1987 animation page has both the 1987 - 1993 opening theme song with the 1994 - 1996 opening theme song combined together.  The video game page contains the introduction music from the first ever Ninja Turtles game for the old NES.  Enjoy the updates.

September 4, 2009:

At long last I've started a brand new year in my life.  Today is my 27th birthday.  Hard to believe that I'm the same age as my father was when I was born.  It's also hard to believe that it's been 8 years since I've been in high school and I can still remember it as if it happened last year.  And let me let you all know something, when you get to a certain age you start to think to yourself "what did I do with myself all that time" because it really goes real fast.  I'm can't believe that I'm now 27, and it didn't feel THAT long ago we had problems on 9/11 which is also coming up.  8 years.  Well so far my birthday has been up and down: my mother spent yesterday with me, gave me $300 (that's going towards BIG bills), went to Reb Lobster where I had only 6 bowls of endless srhimp scampi and went to Best Buy to look for Blu-Ray movies (can't they price those Blu-Ray movies without them having to put a 3 in the 10s digit--expensive, which is why I only have 5 Blu-Rays).  And I would of tried to break my old record of 25 (250 shrimps) bowls of endless shrimp at Red Lobster, but it took 3 hours last year and my mother and I only had so much time together.  And my dad and I will be celebrating my birthday tomorrow, where I'm going back to Red Lobster again (I'm taking advantage of that endless shrimp 2 more times), and when he and I get back home we're going to play Monopoly on the old Sega Genesis.  We had some good funny times with that game years ago.

Now here's where the down side of my birthday has come.  I counted on my best and only friend to be there for my birthday, and he ran out on me to go on a tropical trip to Asia, using his sick uncle as an excuse.  And it IS an excuse, he claims to have relatives on their death beds every 9 months, all from different states or countries and after he and I and his job give him "stress."  So I find it real hard to swallow after 7 years.  Anyway, after all he's done to me lately, I'm going to get EVEN with him and boy is it going to be the birthday gift to myself.  That guy has hurt me too long and I want him to knock it off and my way of doing that is showing him what it looks like when he acts like a butthead to me.  I would of used stronger words than "butthead" but I think kids look at this site.

Well that's that for now, just wish me a happy birthday and best wishes for the new year of mine.

August 27, 2009:

As it turned out that the Shell-Ebration Tour has three more stops that I just recently found out.  So I updated the Shell-Ebration Tour page just to keep up.  And keep in mind that the only updates are the location maps, there won't be another stop until September 4 (strangly September 4 is my 27th birthday) in Seattle Washington, then they return to the East in Massachusetts in Hadley and in Amherst.  I believe that this is the final stops considering they're returning back to where the tour started from in the first place.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

August 7, 2009:

I just update the Shell-Ebration Tour page with the San Diego coverage.  Plus, now that Shell-Ebration Tour is now over, I wrote a personal message to the Ninja Turtles after the San Diego Tour section of that page.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

July 27, 2009:

It's all over.  The Ninja Turtles Shell-Ebration Tour is now offically over.  They wrapped up their tour in San Diego yesterday.  Now what will become of the Tour Bus, the four turtles and what's next?  Speaking of the Shell-Ebration tour, the Las Vegas and Las Angeles page in the Shell-Ebration Tour page of this site has been updated.  San Diego's coverage will be up when the images become available.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

July 25, 2009:

According to www.tvshowsondvd.com, the next DVD release of the classic Ninja Turtles (1994 season) has been pushed back from September 1 to November 2, 2009.  Sucks doesn't it?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

July 4: 2009:

HAPPY INDENPENDANCE DAY AMERICA!!!!!!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

July 3, 2009:

Coverage of the Ninja Turtles Shell-Ebration tour has been updated.  Now each section has both a USA map, and a state map with a marking of where at the tour stop is.  Plus, I've added the pictures of the Dallas, TX, Denver, CO, and Phoenix, AZ tours.  Right now the Ninja Turtles are in transition between Phoenix and Las Vegas.  There are now just three stops left until the tour ends.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

June 26: 2009:

News broke that a new animated Ninja Turtle movie is going to be released.  This movie is going to feature characters of the old 1980's TV series, like Bebop and Rocksteady and it looks like it's going to be animated styled like the old 1980s TV series.  This movie will be previewed in San Diego in July, but will be released to CW in September.  And September is going to be a very busy month for Ninja Turtles: 1994 DVD Red Sky season release, another video game (I think it's Smash Up), and I believe two comic books.  And that's on top of the 4-set Blu-Ray set in August.  I know for the past few weeks I've been real lasy with finishing up the rest of this site, but at some point I'll get down to finishing it.  In the meantime, I have other interests in my life and I'm doing them.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

June 12, 2009:

Well the site mistakes involving the size of the text words has been fixed.  And before going to bed I remembered that there was an Anime format of Ninja Turtles, and did a quick project on that, which is now up and viewable.

Video clips of the 1987 animation TV series (commericals, Turtle Tips, and anti-drug commericals), 2003 animation TV series (character profiles, commericals), TMNT 2007 (trailers and TV spots) have been added to the appropriate page.  You might have noticed that the image of Hun in the 2003 animation TV series is the image of a toy.  Don't worry, I'll fix it.  Apparently I used two files with the same name, and Webs decided to mistake the one file.  My next task is taking care of some of the glitches that Webs created on this site.  I don't know if you noticed, but the size of the words on all my pages are too small, and now I have to go back and fix that so it's normal size again.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

June 10, 2009:

The full coverage of all the Playmates Toys from the classic years and modern years are all up and done.  Finally!  It was long hard work, and it's done.  Now the next task to look out for are clickable hyperlinks to my YouTube video collection to the video bloopers and facts of each of the four full-length movies.  So when you see the [View Clip] in blue, it's clickable, but if it's still this shade of green, it's nothing yet.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

June 9, 2009:

It is now discovered that a new 1987 animation TV series DVD has been announced for release.  You can find out information on this information on www.tvshowsondvd.com and you can see that the next classic Ninja Turtle season DVD will be released on September 1, 2009.  You can also view the DVD cover that I provided in the 1987 Animation TV Series section of this site, and go towards the bottom of that page.  Also, I've completed full coverage of the classic 1988 - 1997 Playmates Toys in the Playmates Toys section of this site.  And I will be starting production on the modern series of toys later on today.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

June 7, 2009:

The video game section is now completed.  The page fully covers all the released video games of Ninja Turtles and of each of the console platforms since the first ever Ninja Turtle video game release in 1989.  Hints and cheats along with 9 in-game images of each game are also included.  Up next and it's the final major webpage and that's the Playmates toys of each year the Turtles were released as action figures and accessories.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

June 5, 2009:

The comic book section is completed.  All the front covers of every Ninja Turtle comic book from all its publishers are up and now viewable.  Coming up next will be the video game portion, which will included game synopsis, cheat codes, and pictures and even video links.  But before I take care of the video game section, I do want to add a little more I found of the other Ninja Turtle formates, which include VHS covers, DVD covers, laser disc covers, and signed autographes from the creators and voice actors.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

June 3, 2009:

The coverage of The Next Mutation is finished.  There's a lot of mistakes and trivia and guest characters that weren't well covered.  Reason is because I wasn't a real fan of that part of the Ninja Turtle universe.  I only got my information through TV.com.  And I think the reason why the coverage of The Next Mutation is because the series wasn't all that popular, and it was over 12 years ago.  Now, I'm going to start the coverage of the comic book series.  The comic book section is the one I'm most excited about.  Eventhough it only shows just comic book covers, I'm excited in this section anyway.  For the execption of the short video clips that point out the mistakes, the four full-length movie section is now fully up and done.  Next I will be beginning the construction of Ninja Turtles The Next Mutation.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

June 2, 2009:

Trivia and mistake facts on each of the 2003 animated TV series is done being listed.  I will add a short clip of those facts like I did for the 1987 TV series.  However, I want to get the core of each page done, so the video part will be the last parts of building this site.  Coming up next is the production of coverage of the 4 full-length movies.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

May 30, 2009:

The episode mistakes for the 1987 animation series is done for now.  In the episodes that say "No mistakes found," that gives me for reason to go back through the series, and find more mistakes I mistakenly missed.  Then, I can bring them to this site.  Until then, I'm moving onto the next page, which is the 2003 Ninja Turtle animation TV series.  And while collecting the proper videos for this series, I can collect all the missed files from the 1987 animation TV series.

 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

May 27, 2009:

The episode mistakes of the 1987 animated TV series is done being listed out in the 1987 animation section.  If the "[View Clip]" is in blue, you can click on it, and it will link you to a video of that episode mistake on my YouTube account, so you can view what the written mistake is, rather than just reading it off your computer screen.  If the "[View Screen]" is still in this shade of green, the video hasn't been developed or uploaded yet and will soon.

 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

May 23, 2009:

The links page and the forums pages are up and ready to go.  I'm not done opening every topic I want to under the forums, because I want to consentrate on the other Ninja Turtle pages first, going in order as you see in the navigation bar above.  The 1987 animation series will continue with the episode mistakes.  To join the forums, you must be a registered member.  The turtles (Leonardo and Michelangelo) are here in Chicago, and I got a chance to be down there to see them and get pictures and a video tour I made of the Turtle Van museum and played the Ally Cat Blues level of the new remake game of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV Turtles In Time for the XBOX360 system.  I don't have nor have a need for XBOX anything, so I took a few minutes to figure it out.  I beat that level with my turtle idol, Leonardo, without getting killed once.  NO ONE DARES HURT LEONARDO!  I'll post more information of my experience at the Chicago location of the tour when I start up the forums page, which will be towards the end of the site construction.  And I will post images of the pictures I took of the Chicago tour when the main parts of this site is done.  I will be taking out the images that include me in them, because I get nervous of having my face shown on the Net.  But in the meantime, I'm going to get to work on the other parts of the site.  Enjoy the site.

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

May 20, 2009:

This site starts in re-developement and begins its seperation from this sites original www.residentevil72000.webs.com to avoid confustion that this is a Ninja Turtle site and not a Resident Evil site.  This site will be expected to be up and running like the original as soon as possible.  And I was able to gain more free disk space, so this site will be MUCH bigger and better than the last one.  The last one was just an experimental beta version of what this site will be.  But right now I'm just transfering all my information from the last site version to this one.

 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

May 15, 2009:

May 1, 2009:

HAPPY 25TH BIRTHDAY TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES!!!!!!!!  COWABUNGA!!!!!  TURTLE POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Well the time has come, the Ninja Turtles has at long last reached thier 25th silver anniversary.  25 years ago on this date the first ever Ninja Turtle release happened, in the form of a comic book.  25 years!  Gee, time really DOES fly fast.  And with the turtles currently on thier nation-wide tour accross the nation on thier 25th shell-ebration, I'm looking very forward to when the Turtles come here to Chicago on May 21- May 25 at Navy Pier.  For those who'll be attending on the Turtle's nation-wide tour, it'll be a day to remember for the rest of our lives.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 April 25, 2009:

The video game section and the Playmate toys section is now done.  I however ran out of available disc space allowed by Webs.com, so the toy section is going to remain incomplete.  But now the webpage is fully published and completed.  Enjoy the site!

 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

April 24, 2009:

The comic book section is finished and fully published containing all the comic book covers of all the different series releases.

 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

April 23, 2009:

Today's the day!  The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have offically started their nation-wide tour.  They're starting off in their native city of New York at the Empire State Building, which is going to glow green to kick off the 25th anniversary shell-ebration.  The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be here in Chicago's Navy Peir between May 22 - May 25 where I will be there getting pictures and autographs and getting a close up of my favorite Ninja Turtle Leonardo.

 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

April 22, 2009:

Construction of the modern 2003 - present animated TV series is over.  The page of the 4 (soon to be 5) Ninja Turtles movies is now publish and ready for viewing.

 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

April 21, 2009:

Character profiles of the old 1980s & 1990s TV series finished and linked to the profile pages.  The construction of the 2003 Animation TV Series page, which is publishing slowly as new material is added.  Also certain pages were deleted such as the fan art page, and the first two episode synopis pages of the old Ninja Turtle series, because I found out that I'm only entitled to 20 pages free of charge, so I have to improvise with what I can.  I'll just have to find a way to fit all that I want all on single pages without linking them to other pages.  With this 20-page limit, I'm now considering other options to getting this site up online, even if I have to open a whole new site and elimintate this one.  And besides, the last update for April 21, 2009 is that I added a large handful more of web links.

 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

April 19, 2009:

The page for the old 1987 animation Ninja Turtles is completed and opened.  However the other pages are still undeveloped and under construction.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

April 18, 2009:

The home page is published and construction on the other pages continues.

 ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 April 15, 2009:

Construction of this website starts and is experimented also on BlueVoda to see which service is better, and I still can't figure that out.
