Based on the hit cartoon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles has players go up against Shredder and his Foot Clan followers. Leonardo's weapon are the Katana Blades, which makes it easy to strike far and fast. Raphael carries a Sai in each of his three fingered fast hands. His striking range is short but a little more powerful than Leonardo. Michaelangelo uses Nunchuks, and Donatello, a master of the Bo has some serious reach and power though he is a bit slow to strike. Unlike most games, rather than just give the plot at the beginning, here the story unravels throughout the adventure. First Shredder gets Beebop and Rocksteady to capture the Turtles friend April O'Neal. Once April is rescued it turns out that Shredder has set eight bombs around the local dam. The dam though was a ploy to lure the Turtles away from their lair so that Mechaturtle, another of Shredder's minions, could kidnap Splinter.

Eliminate Roller Car: In Level 3, if you're riding in the Turtles' Party Wagon and there is a Roller Car on the screen, press Select to get out of the Party Wagon. The Roller Car should dissapear.
An Easy Way to Restore Power - Find a doorway that has a pizza slice or full pizza right at the beginning. Enter, grab the pizza, and exit. If you go back in the pizza will regenerate. Use this to restore power to all your Turtles.
Share Boomerangs: When you get 
the boomerangs, throw up to 3 of them in the air, then switch Turtles, and have the new Turtle catch them. The new Turtle will be able to use those boomerangs without having picked up a boomerang icon.
No Fall Tip: When the gap between two ledges is only the width of one brick and the ceiling is Turtle height, an attempted jump will result in a sure fall. In this case, your Turtle of choice should just try to step over the gap instead of leaping. He can walk across. Avoid stopping in the middle, and he'll make it easily.
Beat Giant Mouser Unharmed: To beat the giant mouser in area 4 simply stand underneath his head to avoid being hit by his lasers.When he opens his mouth hit the yellow ball that's in there.Just watch out for the little mousers he spits out.

In the second part of level one, find the first ledge. Instead of jumping up onto the ledge, go under it. Walk as far right as possible, and keep on walking. You will enter another bonus game.
Hidden Games In Level 2: In level 2 there are large things that, on some, go up, and on others come down on you. Go to the Second one that comes DOWN and jump to the left-hand side of it at the top where it meets the roof. There is a warp to go to a Bonus Game there.
Bonus Games In Level 5: To get a bonus game at the beginning of level 5, right after you start, jump up into the upper left corner of the screen without going foward.
Secret Level Access: 1.1 The second barrel is breakable. Destroy it and go to where it was to find the bonus level.
1.2 The bonus level is after the 3 bats. When you kill them, go all the way right (don't jump) and you'll find it.

The Ninja Turtles are back in action after about 10 years of absense, fighting against Shredder and the Foot Clan. Based off the first season of today's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle animated TV series the Turtles find a new lair, fight thugs on the streets, mousers in the sewers and Foot Ninjas on the rooftops. Then the turtles fight machines that come to life in a salvage junkyard. The turtles find the leader of the Purple Dragons gang, Hun who sends out more Foot Ninjas and gang memebers after the turtles at a construction site. Then the turtles explore some strange occurances going on in the National History Museum where the legend of a mystical sword is kept. After dealing with the Foot, the turtles discover an underground cavern where there is an army of mutant monsters that roam an underground city and laboratory. The Turtles have had enough of the Foot Clan, so they infiltrate Shredder's Foot Headquarters building, battling Foot Ninjas, Mystical Warriors, and Shredder's Elite Ninjas, and avoid traps and even fight Shredder himself.

Team Attack Hint: In 2-player mode, press X and SQUARE at the same time to get into a stance. Then have your teammate come next to you, face you, and then press X and SQUARE at the same time. You will perform a special team attack where you are thrown into enemies, hurting them.
Super High Combo Hint: In the Subway Train on Level 2-Nano, you can use this technique to get huge combos. Simply push an enemy into one of the corners between the seats of the train and the wall, and then uppercut him (with R2). Now use regular attacks (with X) to keep him in the air. Time your attacks, and you can keep him in the air for as big of a combo as you want.

You can unlock a "very hard" mode for the game by entering the Konami code (up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, B, A). If you've done it successfully, the boys will give a hearty "Yeah" and the screen will shake letting you know that you've unlocked it. Then if you go to new game, you'll be rewarded with 4 options of difficulty for the game.

Tip for character unlocking: Start a game and once everything is loaded, save your game and then press reset and then eject the disk (so the disk will not start by its self.) Then go to "System configuration" and change the date to a few months from the day it is. Now Put the disk back in and play any level, and when you complete it you will unlock all the extra characters (or just the ones you need). This way to get them is for the PS2 but it should work with the other consoles if you change the date.

Note about Arcade Mode: The XBOX instruction manual says to insert credit, press B, and your X, Y buttons are to jump and attack. There is a huge typo concerning the credit. For inserting credits... PRESS Y. If you press B you will exit the game. I was gettin' frustrated with it last night, I thought the whole arcade thing was just a joke, but I decided to play around with the buttons and lucky enough, Y is the credit inserter. Also, you cannot manually select the turtle you want to play, for instance, if you want to be Raphael, you must insert your controller into the 4th slot.

TMNT Concept Art: Each TMNT's concept art is unlocked when you gather 10, and then 20, crystals of a certain color. You get one set of art at 10 crystals; you get another set of art at 20 crystals. In their third outrageous, bodacious adventure, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles must save New York from an invasion of that unruly alien race, The Triceratons, who have come in search of the Fugitoid, a.k.a. Defeat Mega Shredder in Nightmare: This level is really easy. In order to hurt Shredder, you have to keep hitting the laser cannon until it reaches full power. Once it's at full power it will shock Shredder, leaving him wide open. Keep doing this until he falls over, then you win.
